Privacy Policy

Account information. When you sign in, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture as provided by the authentication service.

Meal plan data. We store the dietary targets you enter (calorie goals, protein targets, meal preferences, foods to avoid) and the AI-generated meal plans associated with your account.

Payment information. Subscription billing is handled entirely by Stripe. We store your Stripe customer ID to link your account to your subscription status; we never see or store full card numbers.

Usage data. We log standard server-side request data (HTTP method, path, response code) to monitor performance and security. We do not use third-party analytics trackers without your consent.

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve the Fork a Day service
• Generate personalised meal plans using your dietary targets (these targets are sent to Anthropic's Claude API to produce the plan)
• Process subscription payments and manage your Pro membership via Stripe
• Send you service-related communications (e.g. payment receipts from Stripe)
• Detect and prevent abuse or unauthorised access

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your meal plan data to train AI models.

Fork a Day relies on these third-party services to function:

• Anthropic — Processes your dietary targets to generate meal plans. Your targets (calories, protein, goal, diet style, foods to avoid) are sent to Anthropic's API. Your name and email are never sent.
• Stripe — Handles all payment processing and subscription management. Payment card data goes directly to Stripe and is never stored on our servers.
• Resend — Used to send transactional emails such as your welcome message and Pro activation confirmation.

We retain your account and meal plan data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your profile and associated meal plans within 30 days.

Stripe retains billing records independently of your Fork a Day account, as required by financial regulations.

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, object to processing, or receive a portable copy. To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@forkaday.app. We will respond within 30 days.
